As we have already said, during the Milano Design Week, we took our friend Maria Elena Savini, designer of the LussoMediterraneo brand, to visit the Formitalia Luxury Group stand at Salone del Mobile, taking advantage of the exquisite kindness and welcome of our friend Bruno Baglivo, art curator for “MIRABILI Arte d'Abitare”. (The original and brilliant idea of MIRABILI, born in 1986 from an idea of Sergio Cammilli, is now carried on by the brothers David and Gianni Overi of Formitalia Luxury Group who in 2002 bought the brand).
For those who do not know, the art curator is the one who takes care of the entire organization of the art exhibition within cultural centers, museums, foundations, galleries, trade fairs such as the Salone del Mobile. It takes care of contacting the artists, choosing the works, set up the space where the exhibition will be held. It also finds the necessary funding for the realization of the events and manages the promotional campaigns. Why did I want to emphasize this? Because there are ingredients (in my opinion) that it is not obvious to find in this difficult profession: education, courtesy, kindness and not making promises that cannot be kept. Here are the peculiarities of Bruno Baglivo. Am I biased? Yes, I know. But those who know me know that I also know how to shut up.
