GALLERIA CAMPARI

 - Gabriella Ruggieri & partners
A day off in Sesto San Giovanni, visiting (by appointment only) the GALLERIA CAMPARI. Today, the Campari group is one of the most important in the world for beverages.
The Gallery is locate inside the original brick building set in the Campari headquarter. The guide was amazing... really passionate about his work, very kind and helpful. Do you remember when as a child someone told you a fairy tale? And you listened, enchanted and enraptured by the story? It really has been just like this!
You will see original posters, advertisements, placards, books published throughout the 20th century, TV and cinema commercials, and design objects: an extraordinary collection of memorabilia that includes pieces by iconic artists from Marcello Dudovich to Federico Fellini, from Adolfo Hohenstein to Bruno Munari, from Brunetta (Bruna Mateldi Moretti) to Guido Crepax, from Franz Marangolo to Ugo Nespolo, just to mention a few...
And don't we want to talk about the countless vintage objects you'll find along the way? What can I say? I'm biased, I know, in my case it was like bringing a child to Disney World.
Jokes aside, if you have the opportunity to visit the GALLERIA CAMPARI, do it. Below you will find more information and links that may be useful to you. I thank the Campari group press office for their kindness (above all) and support. I hope you also like the photos we took.
Enjoy the reading.

SPAZIO DAVIDE CAMPARI
From Factory to Events Location: the History of Spazio Davide Campari

History
SPAZIO DAVIDE CAMPARI is located within the Headquarters of the Campari company in Sesto San Giovanni, built in 2009 by the architect Mario Botta in collaboration with the architect Giancarlo Marzorati. An example of contemporary architecture and the redevelopment of former industrial areas in a project leading to the rediscovery of the identity of the community of Sesto and the historical memory of the Campari company, launching an ideal bridge between the past and the future.
SPAZIO DAVIDE CAMPARI is located where the manufacturing plant designed by the architect Luigi Perrone was built by Davide Campari in the early 1900s.
In the twenty-first century, the Campari production is relocated to Novi Ligure in Piedmont, to meet the changing requirements of the manufacturing process and  the urban context in which the property is located.
The architect Mario Botta begins the renovation of the entire building.
The project involves the preservation of the original facade of the building, and its integration with the new complex. The restoration is completed a year later, in 2010, together with the works carried out in the park, by the architect Giancarlo Marzorati. The Campari park becomes an important natural environment, respectful of the historical ancient garden of the Casa Alta. Indeed, it is a public area of great value for all the inhabitants.
Today, the administrative offices of the Campari company are located in the new complex. It also includes a lobby that can host different types of events throughout the year and a museum that traces the history of Campari through some of its most famous advertising campaigns: the Galleria Campari, part of the industrial heritage site for which Sesto San Giovanni is seeking UNESCO recognition. In addition, it is also the site of Villa Campari, a recently renovated eighteenth century villa called villa Casa Alta, where the Villa Campari Restaurant and the Campari Academy are located.
Its meticulous focus on environmental impact and the optimization of operating costs is a great source of pride for the Campari Group. Architectural solutions have been adopted and innovative plant installed with a view to obtaining the high energy savings that have allowed the structure to achieve the B Class Building System.
Once again, after 1904, Campari has made innovation, in technical and architectural fields one of its strengths.

Events Location Milano
SPAZIO DAVIDE CAMPARI spans an area of over 2,000 sqm, and contains different locations that can be used and adapted to meet the specific requirements of the event to be organized therein: the Lobby, the external park area, the meeting rooms, the Galleria Campari, Campari Academy and Villa Campari Restaurant.
The multi-functionality and flexibility of the structures allows the space to host a variety of events designed according to the customer’s needs.

The Lobby
The Lobby is the largest location inside SPAZIO DAVIDE CAMPARI: a ground floor room of over 1,000 sqm, with large windows overlooking the park which can be completely blacked out, if necessary; complete with vaulted ceiling in laminated timber beams and granite floors. The Lobby is usable as a single environment or it can be easily divided into several areas that allow different activities to take place

The outdoor area and the park
Next to the Lobby there is a covered outdoor area, an arcade and a quiet corner overlooking a mirror of water. The pools form the boundaries of the scenic park of 800 sqm which joins the main building to Villa Campari. These areas can be used during spring and summer for outdoor events.

The meeting rooms
There are several meeting rooms inside the structure, all with natural light. The rooms are functional and modern, thanks to state-of-the-art technological equipment and can be perfectly adapted to suit any type of event. They are located in the main building, next to the Lobby, and in the Campari Academy. (Press Office Campari)
