“My name is Tiziano Illiano, I’m a painter from Florence, now moved to La Spezia. My passion for art and nature and, more than that, my bond (relationship) with the sea, brought my painting technique toward the research of recycled material, on which I paint.
The wood! Noble material, so important, vivid, full of experience if found on a beach! It has the capability to pass (communicate, transfer) the experience of the dipicted image, making it real.
Reclaimed wood is a source of fresh new emotions. The sensitiveness of understanding that a piece, useless for someone, actually is a perfect support for a small journey into the painting art, is absolutely awesome.
RAFTIDEDA: where the artwork brings to life cetaceans, fishes, landscapes, monuments, many feelings.
My lab in La Spezia is my den. I accumulate and preserve pieces of wood that will shortly come back to life.
The marine representations are a journey underneath the sea surface. The monuments are glimpsed from a perennial urban light shine.
We all have the chance to learn how to respect our small Planet. We all have to do it. We can all join together for the first time in the history of humanity, looking to the same direction.
